The Ohio Economic Development
Partnership is a Certified Community Development Entity (US
Treasury) whose primary mission is to help businesses create and
retain jobs, and to provide incentives to companies that are
contributing to the economic development of low-income
communities throughout the State of Ohio. The incentives include a
transferable US tax credit equal to 39% of the investment being
made. Additional state incentives may also be available for
businesses that expand or locate in designated areas in
Ohio.
Our Governing Board includes a variety
of talented people with varying careers, interests, and abilities,
such as elected officials, HHS service providers, financial
advisors, counselors, health care providers, local business leaders,
and government economic development representatives. All of
our Board members have experience and/or background working with
low-income persons and communities. Their goals include
helping eliminate poverty by opening up opportunities for
low-income persons and low-income
communities.
